Merchants ("Users") who install and use the Quest app on their Shopify store.
Visitors who access our marketing or support websites (if applicable).

This policy does not apply to the customers of our merchants, as Quest does not collect, store, or process personal data of store visitors or survey respondents.

2. What Data We Collect

a. From Merchants (Shopify Store Owners)

We may collect:

Store and contact information provided by Shopify during app installation (e.g. shop domain, email)
Configuration data related to surveys created via the Quest interface
Non-personal usage analytics (e.g. number of surveys created, general performance data)

b. From Store Visitors (Survey Respondents)

"We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII)" from end-users who respond to surveys. All survey responses are processed within the merchant's own Shopify environment and not retained by Quest.

3. Data Usage

We use merchant data to:

Provide and improve the Quest app and its features
Offer support and troubleshoot technical issues
Analyze anonymous usage trends to improve performance

We do not use, sell, or share end-user data. Survey responses are neither stored nor linked to individuals by Quest.

We do not share merchant data with third parties, except:

With service providers strictly necessary for app hosting or analytics (e.g., cloud infrastructure)

No survey or respondent data is ever shared or retained by us.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We do not process, retain, or store data from store visitors.

7. Data Retention

We retain only the data necessary to operate the Quest app for the merchant. If the app is uninstalled, associated merchant configuration data may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

As we do not store respondent data, there is nothing to retain or delete in that context.

8. Your Rights

Merchants may:

Request access to their data
Request deletion of their configuration data
Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app
